Great piece, Susan. Especially like #6. We’re the average of the 5 folks we hang around with most – that’s our “set point.” And when we go to “up our game,” our peeps get nervous… and it’s pretty typical to hear a lot of nay saying… and it’s not really about us… it’s about them and the fear and insecurity they feel about their own lives. So what’s essential is for us to surround ourselves with peers who support us, our hopes and dreams and aspirations… and get good coaches along the way to give us the tools to go the distance… something you do for others so beautifully.
Thank you Susan for your remarkable tips. Every time I start having negative thoughts about what lies ahead, you manage to put me back on my feet. I know you have helped many many ladies to start shaping a positive future, but us laddies need you as well! Wishing you a wonderful year – David, Germany
These are all wonderful reminders of how easy it is to talk ourselves out of things that everything in our being tells us we should do. One of my intentions this year is to talk myself IN to things rather than let those
5 people Walt refers to, or my own doubts, or “timing” or any of these elements detour me from what I know is right for me. Thank you!
As always, I love to look forward to your words of wisdom – I am making positive changes in my life, and this article came at an ideal time. Thank you 🙂
Susan You are an amazing person. I hope you remember me. I always listened to every single word that you said those days, and I try to live and feel like that, and it works.
When I read this, I feel so happy because you did it. You did make your dreams came true.
Tonight I´ll be waiting for a call that means a huge opportunity to me, to make my dreams come true and I feel like I will get it now.
“Just get started” is so right. I lose sight of the fact that my dreams can’t change unless I do something about them and “just get started”. Thank you Susan for reminding of this, your words are very powerful.
